This wiki has been set up to provide a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas/information for those who attended the 'Teaching Criminology' workshop run by the Psychology Network on June 22nd 2007.

The wiki is open for public viewing but to access to editorial rights is by invitation, initially to workshop participants.

For more details contact Tom Simpson t.simpson@psych.york.ac.uk

If you have editorial rights you can add pages, edit content on existing pages and add links and documents. If a document is added to the page it appears at the bottom. You may also need to scroll down to view the comments box.

The wiki may be used, for example, to:
  • extend discussions started at the workshop;
  • share teaching materials;
  • discuss issues related to curriculum development and inter-disciplinarity;
  • address wider issues to support student learning for criminology in higher education

It is helpful to keep the introductory text on this homepage at the top. On other pages it may be helpful to use the convention of new additions at the top. The benefits of a wiki are to develop content collaboratively, for example participants could produce a report on the workshop together.

SWAP is encouraging the promotion of the use of wikis and other open-source collaborative communication tools within its e-learning development project (ELTEP) funded by JISC and SCIE, as part of the HE Academy's distributed e-learning work stream.
